Ebenezer Adeyemi Iyiola is an
assistant lecturer at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology, Federal
University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Nigeria and a doctoral candidate at the
School of Forestry of the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.
He is currently a research assistant at the School of Forestry and teaching
assistant at the School of Product Design of the University of Canterbury.
major field of study is wood science and product technology with research
interest in breeding durable eucalyptus properties,
acoustic/stiffness assessment in standing trees, Using NIR spectroscopy to
predict wood properties, characterization of wood properties and utilization and
thermal treatment of lesser-used wood species.
his MSc at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology of the Federal
University of Technology Akure Ondo State Nigeria, where he was awarded staff
Development grant to complete his Masters degree. He won the New Zealand School of Forestry quiz- (1st
position) in 2019 and was awarded New Zealand School of Forestry and University
of Canterbury Doctoral scholarships in 2018.
attended and presented papers at both local and international conferences and
has over 15 publications in both journal and conference proceedings.
